Mexico will be a host country for the World Cup for the second time in its history. The first time was in 1986 when Argentina defeated West Germany 3-2 in the final at Estadio Azteca. This time three cities will host matches, Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey. Beyond a strong sporting past, Mexico has a rich history of industry and culture.

There are great cultural spots to visit in Mexico, like Chichen Itza, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one 7 Wonders of the World. There are also ancient ruins and pyramids in Teotihuacán and Tulum. Throughout the country there are 35 UNESCO World Heritage sites, the most in the Americas.

Many Latin American companies are based in Mexico, including Grupo Bimbo, the brand behind Takis; and Banorte, the largest Mexican-owned bank in the country. Companies based in Mexico have setup their offices in the hubs of Mexico City and Monterrey. America Movil, one of the largest telecom companies in Latin America, and the 7th largest network operator in the world, is based in Mexico City. They provide not only mobile phone services, but also broadband and fixed-line services.
